A Luminous Night Under the Stars
Our 2025 prom for children, teens, and young adults with critical illnesses, A Luminous Night Under the Stars, was filled with joy, laughter, and moments that will stay with us forever. From glamorous outfits and dancing to heartfelt smiles, the evening was all about letting these incredible kids simply be kids — celebrating resilience, hope, and happiness. We hope you will join us on November 8, 2026, for Hollywood Night, a prom for children, teens, and young adults with critical illnesses.
About Maya
Maya was lethargic, pale, and suffered from severe bloody noses for months. After an alarming blood test, she was sent to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where, on April 6, 2011, her family received the devastating diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Maya fought cancer for 6 ½ years, relapsed twice, endured extreme chemotherapy, and had three bone marrow transplants. She passed away on October 3, 2017, at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Her legacy continues to inspire kindness, community service, and pediatric cancer research.
