To date, the Live Like Maya Foundation has raised over $425,000 since its inception in 2019 to support pediatric cancer families, life-saving pediatric cancer research and goodwill within the community. About Maya
Maya was lethargic, pale, and suffered from severe bloody noses for months. After an alarming blood test, she was sent to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where, on April 6, 2011, her family received the devastating diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Maya fought cancer for 6 ½ years, relapsed twice, endured extreme chemotherapy, and had three bone marrow transplants. She passed away on October 3, 2017, at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Her legacy continues to inspire kindness, community service, and pediatric cancer research.
